The laundromat located at 102 E 3rd Ave N in Aurora (formerly Aurora Giant Wash) is getting upgraded with support from the East Range Participation Loan Program. Earlier in 2026, we awarded funds from the program to local realtor and business owner Norma Jean Jofs, who is now making renovations to improve the building.

“The roof has been replaced with grant money,” Norma Jean shared in a June 2026 update. “I recently replaced all lighting with more efficient lights along with 24 hour surveillance cameras and an automatic locking door system to allow for extended hours.”

Once complete, the renovations will allow the business to return to operating in the community.

“When I purchased the building, only 11 of 45 washers were working,” Normal Jean said. “I currently have 26 working machines and disposed of many broken ones. New dryers will also be coming soon. The roof was the priority. Now that my investment is protected, I’m excited to get the new machines in and improve the building for customers.”

Watch for the business to open officially in the near future.
