What’s the personality of the East Range? What does the East Range offer that no other place does?
Your answers to questions like these can help guide a new effort to develop a shop local campaign for the East Range as a whole.
The local collaborative effort is being led by a new marketing subcommittee that includes representatives from the Hoyt Lakes and Aurora Chambers of Commerce and the Biwabik Area Citizens Association. The subcommittee recently met and planned phase one of the campaign. The next steps are to develop a logo and tagline, a dedicated website, window clings for local businesses, and more.
With the goal of promoting the East Range to attract and retain businesses and residents, and creating a more unified business presence, the campaign seeks to encourage a “shop local” environment by:
- Supporting business marketing efforts
- Bolstering the interconnectedness of tourism efforts
- Driving web and foot traffic to local businesses
Once launched, the campaign will help newcomers and residents alike connect with the local business community.
