What changes would you like to see across the East Range over the next three years? This question is guiding a strategic planning process which is now underway for the East Range Joint Powers Board Board as we wrap up our fiscal year 2021-2023 strategic plan and identify top priorities for regional development between now and 2026.
To inform the process, we’ve sent out a community survey to encourage a variety of entities to provide input on what people want ERJPB to focus on. Priorities from the previous three-year plan included:
- Promoting the East Range to attract and retain businesses and residents
- Providing a wide range of housing options to meet diverse community needs
- Expanding highest speed internet access
- Encouraging civic engagement
Some of these strategic directions might carry over into our plan for the next three years, while others might be replaced by new priorities. We welcome your perspectives!
The board will hold planning retreats this October 23 and 31 at Loon Lake Community Center in the Town of White. Facilitated by Northspan, these strategic planning sessions double as full meetings of the Joint Powers Board, and are open to the public. We invite you to join us and contribute to the process of producing a mission and vision statement as well as core values for ERJPB. We will also establish our strategic directions for the next three years and develop a workplan with a timeline for completing the goals we set together.
